The undergraduate internship opportunity is a student-centered opportunity defined by students’ interests and coordinated through individual faculty mentoring. Students work with faculty who teach within a particular concentration in order to set up an internship. Faculty and students collaborate to identify, contact, and define expectations of the internship. All internships require 140 hours (approximately 10 hours per week) for 3 credits. Examples of prior internships sites include:

- Palolo Ohana Learning Center
- Hawaii State Representative Cedric Gates (District 44)
- UH Hamilton Library
- Linekona School of Art
- Le Fetuao Samoan Language Center
