The center and department collectively employ five graduate assistants (GAs), who work part-time to support center programs in return for a modest salary and tuition support. One of the GAs works with instructors in PACS 108 Pacific Worlds, the department’s multi-sectional introductory course, and another helps support Write Oceania, an initiative to help students develop their writing skills. A third GA works in support of the center’s publications program, and the fourth and fifth support program development initiatives funded by the center’s National Resource Center grant.
