Many congratulations and warmest aloha to CPIS Graduate Assistant
Joy Enomoto who successfully defended her master’s portfolio project, “Aelin in Aibojooj: The Beautiful Small Things of Marshallese Self Representation.” Joy’s project highlights the reclaiming of visual representations and assertion of agency among Marshallese community members in the fight for climate justice, and in light of centuries of foreign control over visual images and narratives of the Marshall Islands. Joy produced her portfolio project with the support of her committee Brandy Nālani McDougall (Chair), Tarcisius Kabutaulaka, and Jaimey Hamilton Faris. Congratulations Joy! #CPIStudentLife
