POSTPONEMENT: 12th East-West Philosophers’ Conference

The Conference Organizing Committee has met and discussed the ongoing outbreak and global spread of the Coronavirus 2019, and how it might impact our forthcoming conference. After considerable deliberation, we have decided that, regardless of cost and inconvenience, we must put the health of everyone first. For this reason, we have arranged with our donors and various partners to postpone the conference until next year, May 21-28, 2021.

We know that circumstances may change, of course, and that some of you may not be able to join us next May. However, we hope that the disappointment and inconvenience of rescheduling the Conference for next year will be offset by shared concerns about the public health risks of COVID-19 and appreciation for the wisdom of precaution. We will continue to communicate with you with further information in anticipation of this forthcoming, historic event.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee: Roger T. Ames, Peter D. Hershock, Tamara Albertini, Co-directors
