Introduction

The purpose of this mini unit was to introduce sixth grade students to Hawaiian Myths and Legends. Through this mini unit the students will learn that each Hawaiian Myth teaches a moral and serves as an explanation for a natural phenomena. This can be used to compare and contrast with other fables.
