Bollywood Film Screening "Dum Laga Ke Haisha"

November 19, 3:30pm - 5:30pm
Mānoa Campus, Hawai'i Institute of Geophysics auditorium (HIG 110)

'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' (Give it Your All) is a charming new Indian film from Bollywood, the world's most prolific movie industry. The story centers on young Prem, an unmotivated dropout whose family forces him to marry Sandhya, an educated aspiring schoolteacher. The sparks (and laughs) fly as the shallow Prem loathes Sandhya's appearance, but his strong wife refuses to put up with his behavior. A quirky and unique romantic comedy, with a hummable musical score, the film sweetly explores how beauty and happiness are both always more than skin deep. This is the fifth movie in the 14th UH Bollywood film series, running on occasional Tuesdays and Thursday afternoons this fall.
