Persian Film Screening "A Separation,” followed by a Poetry Reading

“A Separation” (2011) directed by Asghar Farhadi. This Oscar-winning movie is a story about a couple facing difficulty in contemporary Iran. Simin decides to leave Iran with her daughter, Termeh, and her husband, Nader. However, Nader does not want to leave his father suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Poetry reading: One of the poems of Jalāl ad-Dīn Mohammad Rūmī and one of the poems of Hāfez-e Shīrāzī both in Persian with English translations will be read.
