Art+Flea Comes to UH Mānoa

Art+Flea, the urban market, returns to the University of Hawaiʻi campus from 2-7 p.m. Friday, April 15, with a collaboration event that will feature a carnival, fashion show, improv theater, food, and an open arts studio. Stretching from Legacy Pathway to the Campus Center Courtyard to the Art Department, the event was put together by UH Manoa's Student Media program with Art+Flea, and the university's Campus Center Board's Activities Council.

Art+Flea is a trending urban market that has received an enthusiastic reception from the UH community. Art+Flea will be bringing 19 of its vendors (clothing, crafts, jewelry) to the campus and is open to the community.

The following are some of the highlights of this campus and community event.

• The UH Mānoa Campus Activities Board will hold a “Carnival” themed event with games and rides.
• UHM fashion program will publicize its 50th year celebration and hold rummage sales.
• UHM theatre department will showcase its improv through mini performances.
• Student entrepreneurs will sell products from student-lead businesses.
• UHM Art program will hold an Open Studio, and feature local student artists through demonstrations.
• Mānoa Admissions will promote their “Make Mānoa Yours” campaign.
• On-campus preschool and Student Parent Program (S.P.A.M) will participate in Art + Flea’s family-friendly activities.
• Food will be offered by Manoa Dining services/Sodexo.
• Dominos will sponsor a pizza-eating competition.
