Mānoa Campus, Bilger 335 Add to Calendar

We invite Manoa faculty interested in improving Spr16 assignments that are designed to help students with written communication, critical thinking, or quantitative reasoning to attend this workshop.

The facilitators will introduce assignment design principles and attendees will participate in an assignment charrette: a collaborative, positive process where you give and receive feedback on your assignment within a concentrated time frame. After lunch (provided), the facilitators will introduce an excellent resource- -an online assignment library- -and discuss rubric design.

Workshop facilitators: Natasha Jankowski [University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and National Institute for Learning Outcomes (NILOA)] and David Marshall [CSU San Bernardino and Institute for Evidence-Based Change (IEBC)].

What to bring: 5 copies of an assignment you would like to share and improve.

Reservations required. Space is limited and we will pre-order lunch for registrants. Sign up now at http://manoa.hawaii.edu/assessment/workshops
