SHANNON WEBB’S artwork are highlighted as part of an expanded arts partnership of the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa (UHM), the Halekulani and its sister hotel, the Waikiki Parc.
Shannon states, “Creating and making things is and has always been an interest for me. Being able to pull something from my imagination and flesh it out is uniquely euphoric. My explorations have led me to pottery and a fascination with line and form. The flow of lines in unison with the form of the pot along with a pristinely fine surface is crucial to my aesthetic. My goal is to create vessels that embody an unyielding elegance and emit the kind of euphoria I feel when I create.” Shannon expects to receive her BFA degree from the Dept. of Art + Art History, UHM, in 2016.
