In this lecture, Edgar Heap of Birds will cover topics of health science and native sovereignty as it relates to his new installations and collaborations with native artist Drew Michael at the Anchorage Museum, Alaska.

Edgar Heap of Birds is a multi-disciplinary artist. His art contributions include public art messages, large-scale drawings, the Neuf Series acrylic paintings, prints, and a monumental porcelain enamel on steel outdoor sculpture. Heap of Birds has an extensive exhibition history at venues including The Museum of Modern Art; Whitney Museum of American Art; National Museum of the American Indian, Smithsonian Institution; Washington, D.C.; and The National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa.
