2017 BFA graduate Kent Nishimura is a photojournalist working for the LA Times in Washington DC, and was on the scene of the Capitol riots on January 6. He was interviewed by Artnews for a story in which several photojournalists recount their experience of being inside the Capitol with the mob that broke in that day. Kent also spent much of last fall reporting on the California wildfires and was interviewed by NPR about his experiences.
