BRYAN CZIBESZ, one of the 2 artists featured in the upcoming UHM exhibition Re/Charting, will be interviewed by Ryan Ozawa and Burt Lum on Hawai‘i Public Radio’s Bytemarks Cafe on Wednesday, Aug. 27. The program goes on air at 5 pm on KIPO/KIPH/KIPM.
Czibesz’s work consists of mechanical configurations that explore technology as material prosthesis. He has been collaborating with UHM Ceramics Professor Shawn Spangler for a while and the partnership is the focus of Re/Charting. The works in the show uses processes that include wheel-, mold-, and hand-forming, as well as digital 3D scanning, CNC prototyping, and 3D ceramics printing using a machine that Czibesz built. These two are a perfect fit for Bytemarks Cafe, a live, one-hour radio magazine that showcases creativity and ingenuity in Hawaii’s tech community.
