DEBRA DREXLER AND HELEN FRANKENTHALER EXHIBITIONS IN NYC

Professor Debra Drexler's work is being featured in Flirt: Helen Frankenthaler and Debra Drexler in New York.

This two-person exhibition of work explores the legacy of the great 20th Century icon of American abstract art, Helen Frankenthaler, and how the spirit of experimentation lives on in the work of Debra Drexler. Ann Kendall Richards Gallery, which was established in 1969, undertook the Art Des Femmes project to bring attention to the work of under-recognized women artists. This exhibition grew out of that project in collaboration with ART SHE SAYS, a magazine and salon dedicated to women in the arts, with a second iteration of the exhibition featuring watercolors at their West Village salon space in conjunction with the events around Frieze Art Fair.
