The Artists of Hawai’i 2023 exhibition is on view at the Downtown Art Center from Nov. 3-25, 2023. It features the work of 104 Hawai’i artists, among whom are a number of current graduate students, alumni, and current and former instructors.
The award winners include several with departmental connections: alumna and instructor Jenna Macy (Best in Show), alumnus Kamran Samimi (Surprise Award for Excellence), Mari Matsuda (John Young Award), instructor Juvana Soliven (Roselle Davenport Award for Artistic Excellence), and former instructor Lawrence Seward (Ellen Choy Craig Endowed Fund Award).
