The Department of Art and Art History is thrilled to present the 2022 Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition. Our annual BFA Exhibition closes out each academic year with new works by the forthcoming graduates from the BFA program. This exhibition features works by twenty-four graduating BFA students in graphic design and studio art.
"The Department of Art and Art History offers Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degrees in Graphic Design and Studio Art (with specializations in Ceramics, Digital Imaging, Drawing and Painting, Electronic Arts, Glass, Photography, Printmaking, and Sculpture and Expanded Practices). The BFA program is our most highly specialized professional degree program, available to high-achieving students who are admitted to the program through portfolio review. This exhibition represents the culmination of their studies. Studio art students have completed a body of work that makes up their thesis project. Design students have collaborated on real-world projects for non-profit organizations in the state. All students have worked cooperatively to organize, design, and install this exhibition.
"One of the qualities of a good artist or designer is the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, and some of the great art of the world has come out of war, crisis, and even epidemic. The students whose work is on view weathered the shock and upheaval of spring 2020, the uncertainty of the summer that followed, and then almost two years that started in near-complete lockdown and proceeded to open up more slowly than anticipated. They responded to this creative challenge even while recognizing that artistic achievement might not look quite as they had originally imagined, and the success of their work is a testament to their talent and dedication."

COVID-19: The campus is open to the public. No reservations required. Please bring a mask to wear inside the gallery. We will enforce a capacity of 40 people inside The Art Gallery.
