Laulima Browser Recommendations
WebCT Browser Check

To access Laulima (2.4) use one of the following browsers, note that Mozilla Firefox appears to be the most stable and consistant when working with Laulima:

Windows
Internet Explorer 7.0 and newer
Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and newer

Macintosh
Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and newer

Other platforms
Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and newer

If after verifying your browser is one of the recommended versions for working with Laulima and you still experience problems with log in submit a Request Assistance from the computer that is causing the problems. In this report you MUST complete all inquiries and be as specific as possible to the steps you are taking and any errors that are being caused.

Prior to logging into a WebCT course one should always check their browser for compatibility. The "Check Browser" link is accessible from the main UH WebCT Log in page, in your myWebCT Account and in every area of your course. The check browser function is based upon operating system (whether you use a Windows or Macintosh computer) and browser preference.

Compatible Browsers for Working with WebCT 4.1x are as follows:

WINDOWS -

  • Microsoft IE (Internet Explorer): 5.0, 5.5, 6.0
  • Netscape: 6.2x (but may require an updated java plug in), 7.0 and 7.1
  • AOL: 7.0, 8.0 and 9.0
  • Mozilla: 1.5 and 1.6

MACINTOSH -

  • Microsoft IE (Internet Explorer): 5.1 (OS 9.x and OSX 10.1) and 5.2 (OSX 10.1, 10.2, 10.3)
  • Netscape: 6.2x - but may require an updated java plug in (OS 9.x and OSX), 7.0 and 7.1 (OSX)
  • AOL: OSX
  • Mozilla: 1.5 and 1.6
  • Safari: 1.2

Prepare Browser Settings:
The best option to take to prepare your browser settings is to go through the following WebCT "Check Browser" process.

Select following link for Check Browser (also available on the main UH WebCT log in page, within your myWebCT Account and everywhere in a WebCT Course).

If after verifying your browser is compatible and you still experience problems with log in submit a WebCT Problem Report from the computer that is causing the problems. In this report you MUST complete all inquiries and be as specific as possible to the steps you are taking and any errors that are being caused.
