#MeTooU Addressing Sexual Harassment in the Academy and Beyond

October 16, 5:00pm - 6:30pm
Mānoa Campus, Architecture Auditorium Room 205

Dr. Karen Kelsky, a columnist for the Chronicle of Higher Education and author of The Professor Is In: The Essential Guide to Turning Your Ph.D. Into a Job (Random House, 2015), is most known for her work on graduate education, but she has become a prominent figure in the #MeToo movement. In 2017, she set up a public online survey on sexual harassment in institutions of higher learning. The response was overwhelming, the findings deeply troubling. Since then, Kelsky has been traveling the country, speaking out on issues of sexual assault in the academy, with a focus on empowering victims and training people in leadership.

This event is free and open to the public.
