Orchid Culture & Orchid Growing Techniques

February 5, 9:30am - 11:30am
Mānoa Campus, Lyon Arboretum, 3860 Manoa Rd.

Peter Wiggin, Lyon Arboretum Research Support staff in Lyon Arboretum’s Rare Plant Program, will review the basics of the orchid family, including some of the fascinating history of orchid culture. The main focus of the class will be on orchid horticultural practices and orchid growing techniques. Peter will be happy to answer your questions regarding your own orchids, problems you may have growing, or any questions you may have about orchids in general (you are invited to bring along an orchid “problem plant”). There will be lots of pictures, time for questions, and a re-potting demonstration. Class fee: $20.
