Performance and workshop by Babasango Village Ensemble
Babasango was initiated in Oyo Nigeria in 1972 and studied in Larteh, Ghana at the shrine of Okonode. He did field work in Cuba for his M.A. in Ethnomusicology and most recently studied in Bahia, Brazil in 2015. He has played and performed percussion music of the African diaspora for 55 years.
Bring your lunch to the steps of the Campus Center Courtyard and watch Babasango and friends perform! You'll get a chance to join in too!
