Do you know about "fair use?" Can you distinguish images in different license conditions, such as public domain and Creative Commons?
The Faculty Mentoring Program presents a workshop for Manoa faculty that will introduce tips for finding, identifying, and using digital images for your academic work and beyond. Participants will learn how the digital image industry works, tips for searching images, various online resources, how to avoid copyright violation, how to develop a critical eye for identifying the credibility of digital images, how to cite images in your papers and projects. Knowing what resources are available on the Internet and using them properly are critical skills for succeeding in your academic and professional career.
