Google AI Pro for Education licenses provides faculty and staff the use of Gemini in their Google@UH core apps and a new standalone experience that allows users to chat with Gemini Advanced using the most capable AI models available and enterprise-grade data protection. Additionally, these licenses provide access to advanced features such as AI-powered note taking and summaries in Google Meet, and AI-enhanced data loss prevention. Gemini and Protected Data
When interacting with Gemini with your Google@UH account, data from your Gemini activity will never be reviewed by humans nor used by Google to train or improve their AI models. You should continue to exercise caution when interacting with and providing prompts or data to any generative AI (genAI) models, including Gemini, and you should avoid supplying protected data, including personal, confidential, or proprietary information or data. FAQs
Can the Google AI Pro License be issued for a UH departmental email address?
Licenses are "named" and are applied to individual staff or faculty accounts only. One license is required per user. Licenses are not sharable and can not be applied to Departmental UH Usernames.How can I verify that my account is properly licensed for Google AI Pro after I purchase the license?
1. Go to https://gemini.google.com/, sign in with your UH account and check that it is listed as PRO at the top right of the screen.
2. Sign in to your online UH Google account. You should see a 4-point star at the top right of any Google application.
Ordering Instructions
NOTE: A UH Contract/Agreement has been set up for this Licensing Program. Therefore, OVPIT Non-compliant Terms (Shrink Wrap Terms) Waiver or OVPIT Approval for IT Procurement approvals are NOT required for the purchase of Google AI Pro Licenses through this program.
