Our Vision

The Ke Ō Mau Center for Sustainable Island Food Systems is a University of Hawai‘i System initiative dedicated to advancing multi-disciplinary research and education, planning and policy analysis, and community development activities  to realize a healthy, equitable, resilient and ecologically sustainable food system for the people and land of Hawaiʻi.

Learning from the Past to Improve our Future. Informed by Indigenous Hawaiian food systems, the Ke Ō Mau Center seeks to support projects that enact change across areas of social organizations, from the individual to communities, organizations, and governments.
