School of Architecture Inflatables Installation – Temporary Emergency Space

May 6, 2:00pm - 5:00pm
Mānoa Campus, Lawn between the School of Architecture and Hawaiʻi Hall (The Quad)

Join the UH Mānoa School of Architecture for its annual Inflatables Installation, a dynamic outdoor exhibition showcasing large-scale, air-supported structures designed and built by first-year architecture students.

This year’s theme, “Temporary Emergency Space,” challenges 85 students in 12 teams to explore architecture’s role in crisis response and humanitarian aid.

Visitors are invited to walk through and interact with these imaginative, inhabitable structures—each offering a unique take on shelter, space, and design under pressure. Free and open to the public.
