Community Dialogues, Leveling Up: Quest for Understanding ----------------- These are facilitated sessions where you can engage with peers from diverse backgrounds. People who participate in the Community Dialogues program will be able to: 1) Identify important aspects of their personal backgrounds, 2) Articulate the value of understanding different perspectives, 3) Describe and demonstrate principles of positive social engagement in communication, and 4) Understand about being responsible members of the Community. --- Session: Embark on an enlightening journey in Leveling Up: Quest for Understanding, a thought-provoking dialogue event that invites participants to explore the evolving nature of knowledge, growth, and self-awareness. Join us as we delve into the challenges and rewards of leveling up in both personal and professional realms. --- Speaker: José Barzola has a passion for creating social change through nonviolence, nurturing relationships that transcend cultural barriers, and focusing on issues of diversity, inclusion, and equity. José is a highly organized higher education administrator with over 20 years of experience and success in administration, student development within academic and student affairs. For over 10 years, José has served the University, partner agencies, nonprofits and communities in Hawai’i and abroad as a professional mediator and facilitator.
