ORE Seminar: Modeling sea level rise impacts

March 6, 3:30pm - 4:30pm
Mānoa Campus, Bilger Hall 150

Among the impacts of sea level rise are coastal land loss by erosion, failure of gravity-based drainage, compound flooding due to combinations of rain and high ocean levels, and flooding due to rising coastal groundwater. Members of the SOEST Climate Resilience Collaborative will present model simulations of these hazards in a set of tag-team talks. The products of this research are posted on a public map viewer that displays results for 1 foot increments of sea level rise https://www.soest.hawaii.edu/crc/slr-viewer/index.php?map=kp.
