ORE Seminar: Science Communication: Developing an Impactful Message
March 2, 3:30pm - 4:30pmMānoa Campus, Holmes Hall 247
Unlike previous seminars this semester, this will be more of a workshop/information session, than a technical presentation. In this session, we’ll talk about why, where and how to communicate with broad audiences about a field of study or the findings of your particular research. Considering the perspective and priorities of your audience is key to successfully and meaningfully communicating. We will discuss a couple tools and several guidelines to help distill complex or technical information into a succinct and impactful message. This seminar will be given by Marcie Grabowski, Outreach Coordinator for the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology.
