Sea Shanties: Daring Tales of Doing Science at Sea features a panel of seasoned ocean-going scientists who will share a behind-the-scenes look at what it's like doing shipboard research.
University of Rhode Island Marine Biologist and UH alum Brad Wetherbee, will be joined by four SOEST faculty members — oceanographer David Karl, planetary scientist Patty Fryer, geophysicist Pat Cooper, and marine geologist Margo Edwards (pictured aboard the USS Hawkbill submarine).
Co-sponsored by ARCS Foundation Honolulu Chapter. Proceeds benefit ARCS Scholar Awards–unrestricted grants to outstanding UHM graduate students in STEM and health fields.
