POSTPONED ~ Ike 2020: Lahui Hawaii Research Center Student Conference

April 9, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Mānoa Campus, Imin Conference Center

“In the context of Hawaiian national consciousness, research is a kuleana...” --Dr. Kanalu Young

It is a pleasure to invite you to Ike 2020: Hawaiian National Consciousness Rising. The conference is organized by the Lahui Hawaii Research Center under Native Hawaiian Student Services and will take place at East-West Center, UH from April 9-10th.

The theme of this year’s conference Ike 2020 is inspired by a culmination of events that have caused major shifts in both the political and social landscape of Hawaii. At this year’s LHRC, we want to illuminate the expanse of Hawaiian knowledge that has facilitated a sense of intellectual clarity among the lahui, igniting action and invigorating the proliferation of a Hawaiian national consciousness. In this time of rapid change, a commitment to ike Hawaii guides our visions of sustainable and just futures for both Hawaii and the world.
