Enhance your ability to help all children reach their full potential by deepening your understanding of effective curriculum and teaching.

Distinguished guest Dr. Sue Bredekamp, is well-known for her decades of work on developmentally appropriate practice with NAEYC, Head Start, the Council for Professional Recognition, state departments of education, and universities. Her most recent book is Effective Practices in Early Childhood Education: Building a Foundation, 3rd ed. She has served as the NAEYC President and is a frequent keynote speaker both nationally and internationally. Dr. Bredekamp has devoted her 45-year career to improving the quality of early childhood programs by enhancing teaching, curriculum, and professional development for early educators working with families to support the development and learning of children birth through age 8.

This four-day institute (credit students attend five days), brings together current research and practical experience to build in-depth, coherent understanding of child development, effective teaching strategies, and culturally and linguistically relevant curriculum.
