Lecture Demonstratoin by Noh & Kyogen Mask Maker

Second-generation woodcarving artist Kitazawa Hideta began studying under his father, Kitazawa Ikkyo, becoming an independent wood carver and mask maker in 1997. He has created masks for traditional and newly written "Noh", as well as noh-inspired plays perfomed in the US, Japan, Europe and Asia, and conducted mask-carving demonstrations and workshops.
