The Ethnobiology Society at UHM presents distinguished speaker Dr. Sam Gon III, Senior Scientist/Cultural Advisor of The Nature Conservancy of Hawaiʻi.

A deadly fungus threatens the iconic ʻōhiʻa tree and the health of the native Hawaiian forest. What are the cultural and ecological responses to such a devastating and quickly escalating outbreak?
