Writing Workshop: Reading and Writing Scholarly Essays

West Oʻahu Campus, UHWO Library
In this workshop, you will learn specific reading strategies that will help you to better understand and evaluate scholarly articles, allowing you to fairly summarize, paraphrase, and quote from these sources.
We will also discuss the appropriate tone and vocabulary to effectively address an academic audience in your own writing. You will also learn various search techniques for locating scholarly articles in library databases.
