Voyaging with Ethnomathematics: Empowering Learners in the Journey

March 7, 1:00pm - 2:15pm
Mānoa Campus, Online Add to Calendar

Ethnomathematics is real-world problem-solving that empowers students to be locally-minded, global citizens through a sense of purpose and a sense of place. In this presentation, we will engage in teaching and learning strategies; connect to rigorous, relevant, and contextualized mathematical tasks in K-12 and higher education classrooms; and explore the world’s first ethnomathematics program at UH Mānoa. Come join us and find joy in the journey as we voyage with ethnomathematics!
