Title IX: Know your Role & Resources Series for Graduate Students
February 19, 12:00pm - 1:15pm
Mānoa Campus, Kuykendall Auditorium Room 101
UHM Graduate Student Organization invites you to Title IX: Know your Role & Resources, a series of conversations and workshops around Title IX for Graduate Students and Graduate Assistants! Register now to join us for Session 1 of 3 next Tuesday, February 19 at Kuykendall Auditorium (Room 101).
Do you know your rights under Title IX? We want to know about your experiences with gender-based violence on campus. Grads and GAs have a unique position at UH - we are both students as well as teachers and mentors with particular roles and responsibilities. The 2017 Campus Climate survey results indicated that Grad Students are more likely to experience gender-based violence from staff and faculty than other populations on campus. Some of us are unaware of the protections that Title IX offers from sex-based discrimination on and off-campus.
Join GSO in collaboration with Graduate Division, The Center for Teaching Excellence, and the UHM Title IX Office to find out more about your rights and how to advocate for your students' rights at the following sessions:
