International Cultural Studies Graduate Certificate Program (ICS) presents the Spring 2019 Faculty Speaker Series.

This talk examines the representation of the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami across several media-texts and exhibition formats, among them, the TV miniseries Tsunami: The Aftermath (HBO/BBC, 2006), the non-fiction documentary Tsunami: Caught on Camera (Channel 4, 2008), as well as the blockbuster movies Hereafter (Clint Eastwood, 2009) and The Impossible (A.J. Bayona, 2012).
