Maslenitsa (Butter week) is a sun-festival according to Slavic mythology and a celebration of coming spring. Today we will welcome Maslenitsa and Sping, learn about traditions and the most characteristic food bliny (crepes, pancakes) which we will be able to try. It is also interesting to get to know about seven days celebration when each day has its own name and is spent in a specific way.
Please join us on Wed, Feb.,22 at 3:30 pm, 254 Moore Hall. All levels of Russian are welcome (including those who don't speak Russian at all)!
