Watershed Restoration Analysis and Implementation Seminar

During this seminar guest speaker Brian Bair will highlight lessons learned from his twenty-plus years of experience designing and implementing large scale watershed restoration projects including strategies to:

  • Employ watershed analyses as valuable tools to describe the historic and current upland and riparian conditions of a watershed and how these conditions affect water quality and aquatic habitat.
  • Identify, prioritize, plan, and implement suitable restoration projects at the correct temporal and spatial scales.
  • Prioritize restoration designs to minimize unexpected consequences from project
  • Incorporate flexibility into project design and implementation.
About the Speaker
Brian Bair is a Project Fisheries Biologist and the Aquatic Restoration Program Lead for the USDA Forest Service, Enterprise Program. He has more than twenty years of experience designing and implementing large scale watershed restoration projects throughout the continental United States, Alaska, and Canada. Brian holds a B.S. in Biology from Montana State University.
