After an informal presentation, Dr. Chau will lead some hands-on demonstrations of techniques and tools used in home seed banking. Lastly the class will visit the Hawaiian Rare Plant Program’s Seed lab, which is managed by Marian, to see how the professionals use cutting edge methods to keep rare plants safe from extinction.
