June 5, 12:30pm - 4:30pmMānoa Campus, Campus Center Ballroom
What is PBIS?
PBIS= systems and individualized supports and interventions that help people enhance and improve their productive social behavior while reducing any problematic behavior they may use. In the past decade, major advances have been seen in community settings, particularly in public schools, as providers and consumers implement PBIS systems and strategies.
Dr. Teri Lewis and the Hawaii Positive Engagement Project (H-PEP) will give an overview of PBIS and classroom management. Participants will also have opportunities to reflect on and plan for implementation in their own settings.
