May Day at Hanauma Bay 2016 - Celebrate Marine Conservation With Us

Interested in marine conservation in Hawaii? Want to learn how to help the marine environment without getting your feet wet? And have fun learning? On Saturday, April 30 come celebrate marine conservation with the Hawai‘i Sea Grant Hanauma Bay Education Program and learn something new about the marine environment and marine life of Hawaii.
The community event, titled May Day at Hanauma Bay 2016 - Celebrate Marine Conservation With Us, is offered free of charge for Hawaii residents and will take place on Saturday, April 30 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Marine education specialists will be on hand to offer interactive learning activities for all ages. The hands-on activities will include fish games, microplastic filtering activities, Hawaiian word matching, and craft activities for the keiki.
The spring event combines the spirit and inspiration of Earth Day and May Day, which are typically held in April and May, to recognize the importance of the marine environment of Hawaii and the efforts to improve our oceans’ health.
