The Mystical Dance of the Letters, RÄbi‘a’s Tacit Philosophy of Language.
This paper frees RÄbi‘a the woman, mystic and teacher from the "RÄbi‘an" stories and also analyzes her delicate poetry in light of Sufi concepts to uncover a taxonomy of love resting on a semantic etymology in which letters are conjoined and disjoined: making them dance to form meanings.
