February 23, 1:30pm - 2:45pm
Mānoa Campus, Kuykendall 106 Add to Calendar

ORCID (Open Researcher & Contributor ID) is:
• a non-profit organization driving an international initiative to provide a persistent digital identifier that distinguishes you from every other researcher.
• supports automated linkages between you and your professional activities ensuring that your work is correctly attributed.
• works with more than 350 member organizations to achieve their goal in a variety of systems such as researcher profile services, journal publishers, manuscript submission systems, institutional repositories, grant management systems, and more.

Are you preparing for contract renewal, promotion or tenure?

Do you need to provide information about the number of times your work has been cited, journal acceptance rates, or alternative metrics to show your research impact?

Join UH Mānoa Librarians as they show some of the tools available to you.

This session will introduce how ORCID identifiers are being used in different stages of scholarly communication, and how you can exploit ORCID during the progress of your research career.
