International cardiac research conference, New Frontiers in Cell Death Signaling and Heart Failure, will bring expert researchers from Hawai’i, North America and Japan to the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawai’i on Thursday February 18 and Friday February 19, 2016. More than a dozen world-class investigators in each field will share their updated research.

Sponsors at the John A. Burns School of Medicine and its Center of Cardiovascular Research. Another organizer is the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, University of Manitoba, Canada.

Since cell death controlled by mitochondria is a main topic at this conference, many investigators and students at Kaka’ako, including Cellular and Molecular Biology and the University of Hawai’i Cancer Center, should be interested in it.
