Marcelo Suárez-Orozco is Wasserman Dean of Education and Information Science at UCLA. An expert in immigrant education, migration, and multilingualism, he is the author or editor of 26 books and volumes, including Learning in a New Land: Immigrant Students in American Society and Making Migration Work. Suárez-Orozco is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and has consulted for the Holy See, the President of Mexico, and the International Criminal Court on migration issues.
