Mānoa Campus, Sakamaki C-104 Add to Calendar

Knowing Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is essential for building modern websites -- regardless of the programs you use to create those sites. CSS controls your web pages’ appearance, can help make pages more accessible, produces code that is both easier to edit and to understand, and allows your pages to download more quickly. Discover the basics of CSS, from the box model, to classes and IDs, to how and when to use inline, embedded, or external style sheets, plus more!

Colin Macdonald is Director of Web Operations for the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa. He instituted the first multimedia courses at the UHM Department of Communication, where he taught multi- media design and development for over a decade. He is a core faculty member of Pacific New Media.
