Díaz took advantage of his propitious birth date of September 15, 1830, the 20th anniversary of the beginning of the independence movement, to associate himself with the revered Father Hidalgo, whose image is on the reverse. The broadside extols the virtues and achievements of Díaz and the progress that occurred in Mexico as a result of his rule.
