Definition:

Programs Included
  • Undergraduate programs with less than 10 graduates average per year
  • Master and Doctorate programs with less than or equal to three graduates average per year
Types of programs
  • Includes programs with outcome types of Certificate of Achievement (CA) and above
  • Excludes programs not effective throughout the period for the average.
    • Excludes recently approved programs effective after Fall 2014 for undergraduate and Fall 2012 for graduate programs
    • Excludes terminated or stopped-out programs
Methodology
  • Undergraduate: 3 year average of degrees or certificates awarded
  • Graduate: 5 year average of degrees awarded

Goal:
Decrease number of small programs by increasing number of graduates, or eliminating/consolidating programs based on evaluation of need or importance to meet institution/campus strategic directions
