Waikiki (Kuhio Ave.) to University of Hawaii-Manoa:

From Kuhio Avenue heading away from Diamond Head, board the 4 Nuuanu-Dowsett or 4 Nuuanu-Pauoa Road. This bus will take you directly to the University of Hawaii-Manoa campus on University Avenue.
University to Waikiki:

Board the 4 University-Waikiki bus on University Avenue below Metcalf Street. Buses run about 15-20 minutes apart during the day on weekdays and less frequent in the evenings and on weekends.
Approximate travel time is 25 minutes.
Waikiki to Honolulu International Airport:

Board 19 or 20 Waikiki Beach and Hotels. First bus from Waikiki is 4:50 a.m. on weekdays and 5:25 a.m. on weekends. The last bus leaving the Airport to Waikiki is 11:45 p.m. on weekdays and 11:15 p.m. on weekends. Buses run about 20 minutes apart during the day, and 30 minutes apart in the evenings.
Approximate travel time is 1 hour 10 minutes.
Please note that traffic and finding parking on campus during morning rush hour can be difficult. It is highly recommended that meeting attendees use the TIP2004 shuttle service that will run between the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel and the East West Center each morning and afternoon.

NETWORK ACCESS
A limited number of internet accessible workstations and 10baseT docks for laptops will be available during regular conference hours. Wireless access 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g will be available throughout the Imin Conference Center for the duration of TIP2004. Attendees must provide their own wireless or ethernet cards since none will be available for rental or purchase.

The voltage used is Hawaii is 120 volts, 50-60 Hz. Participants should plan to bring their own voltage converters if their power requirements differ from this North America standard.
Please note that many of the meeting rooms including the plenary session will not have dedicated electrical outlets at each seat. Participants are asked to bring enough fully charged batteries to meet their needs. A limited number of recharging areas will be available throughout the conference center.

The majority of the TIP 2004 meetings will be held in the Hawaii Imin International Conference Center which is located at the East West Center on the University of Hawaii campus. Large meetings and plenary sessions will be held in the Keoni Auditorium. Smaller meetings and breakout sessions will be held on second floor or garden level. Meal and refreshment breaks will be on the garden level overlooking the Japanese Garden in back.
