Laulima - Post a Message in Discussion and Private Messages

Discussion and Private Messsages is a discussion board-type tool which helps to facilitate online conversations. Posting a reply in Discussion and Private Messages is simple. Note that all posts in a topic are time-based, meaning they are listed by the date and time posted, the later messages displayed after older ones.
There are two basic ways to post a reply to a message:
Click on the "Gallery View" link to see the steps by image, or to see all the steps at once, click the tabs below.
Simple Reply
A simple reply will simply add your reply to the "bottom" of the list of replies.
1. After clicking on the Discussion and Private Messages, click on the forum you want to post in.
2. Click on the topic that you want to post in.
3. Click the "Post Reply" button either above or below the messages already posted.
4. Type in your response, then click "Submit" button.
5. Your message will be displayed last in the list of messages.
You can then navigate out of the message by clicking on the "breadcrumb" links above the list of messages or the "Discussion Home" at the top.

Quoted Reply
A quoted reply is very similar to a simple reply but provides some context to a message.
1. After clicking on the Discussion and Private Messages, click on the forum you want to post in.
2. Click on the topic that you want to post in.
3. If there is a specific message within the list you want to reply to, click the "Quote" button in that message.
4. Type your message outside of the "[quote]" and "[/quote]" tags, then click the "Submit" button.
5. Your message will be displayed last in the list of messages.
You can then navigate out of the message by clicking on the "breadcrumb" links above the list of messages or the "Discussion Home" at the top.
